Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council is a combined local authority that came into being on 1 April 2019.
In their Children’s Social Care department, communicating department-wide initiatives and updates had become a bit of a struggle, with some messages getting lost in the ether of the intranet.

As part of a package to support rapid improvement and bring consistency to CSC, a New Children’s Services Toolbox doc was to be launched. Working closely with Progress Forum members and Senior Colleagues within CSC, a small but effective internal comms campaign was developed, and an engaging 90 second motion graphics piece was produced. The campaign also included:

a cutdown used across all internal channels to prewire colleagues of it’s release

a follow up reminder cutdown

two short GIFs to be used in email footers

Uptake on the engagement and download of the Toolbox pdf increased by 350% compared to the previous version, with colleagues and key partners more engaged and better informed to provide a higher standard of service to the children and young people of BCP.
